Your World Needs a Great Defender

A very determined-looking Ruby Rose. We all know she's badass, but I'm waiting for that moment where she really knuckles down and the truly heroic Ruby--the one that's gonna save the world--comes out, she really does become the Great Defender of the World, and she really becomes badass. I've said before that Blake is my favorite, but Ruby is a very, very, threateningly close second.
But Crescent Rose is a pain in the ass to draw. Truly. Deer lord. I thought drawing Yang's Ember Celica was hard, but Crescent Rose makes it look as simple as Jaune's sword.

As if Crescent Rose wasn't difficult enough, I just had to draw the fragmented moon, AND the rose petals...
...yes...those are supposed to be rose petals...they were drawn with a Sharpie....shut up...
Needless to say I had tons o' fun coloring the blue around all of those! The laces on Ruby's corset and boots (and my initials) were done in white India ink and colored over with said Sharpie. Also, I swear, in the picture sitting next to me right now, Ruby has MUCH darker hair. I promise.
Still very proud of this picture, though.
